Travel Information: COVID-19

Since the re-opening of travel, we have been welcoming guests to Costa Rica and to our Costa Rica First Class Villas residences at a fast pace! With low COVID numbers and an extremely high vaccination rate, our tropical destination has been a safe getaway for many! We love to help create amazing memories for visitors from all over the world and while the coronavirus remains a reality, many groups of travelers continue to enjoy Costa Rica and everything it has to offer. All of our staff and tourism providers are fully vaccinated and employ safety protocols to help keep everyone healthy. We continue to closely monitor health authority guidelines and make changes or updates to our practices as needed. Below are the most recent COVID requirements for entry to Costa Rica and for re-entry for travelers going to the United States.

Costa Rica Entry Requirements

As of April 1, 2022, it will not be required to complete the online Health Pass, buy insurance or present a vaccination card to enter Costa Rica.

Requirements for Entry to the US

  • Negative COVID test within 24 hours of arrival to the US

For re-entry to the US, you will need to have a negative COVID test within 24 hours of arrival to the US. We have multiple testing facilities located within minutes from our villas and all can quickly provide testing services.  Appointments for testing are pre-booked by our travel concierge and testing can be done at nearby private clinics or via house-calls to the villas.

Other Important Travel Items

Some other important things to be aware of for travel to Costa Rica is that upon landing in-country, travelers must wear face protection and comply with the protocols of the air terminal

Most activities offer private options for your group! Ask your travel concierge for options.

Updated Reservation Cancellation Policies

In the event that borders are closed for entry to Costa Rica, your reservation can be changed and postponed for up to 12 months (18 months in some villas and condos) from your original date of arrival with no cancellation fees. Guests that change their current reservation will be issued a credit towards their future stay in the amount that was paid toward their selected villa. Any rate changes for future dates are the responsibility of guests and dates are subject to availability.

If you need to change your reservation and borders are not closed, there will be a re-booking fee applied and any rate changes will be the responsibility of the guests. We are not able to issue refunds and we do require written notification of any cancellation requests, so please email us.
